Happy Halloween!!!

wiped out from the rush of getting your house and kids ready for

this SPOOKTACULAR season??

i spent ALL DAY finishing getting school goodies ready to take tomorrow,

organizing costumes and goodie bags,

and now...

just finished carving the pumpkins!

BUT....

WE LOVE HALLOWEEN!

i love how excited the kids get over all the decorations,

how courtney wants to help plan all our 'jobs' to get ready,

how tyler likes to stick pictures of artwork all over the front windows...

it really is such a FUN time to share with your kids!

(these are the cupcakes and cookies we made for the kids' classroom parties for tomorrow )

...and tonights pumpkin guttin' is always a favourite of tylers...NOT!


...but our girl doesn't mind getting all gooey...

...my friend linda ( maggie's mommy! ) was in the states last weekend and brought me home this adorable halloween pumpkin stand...

i did the cat and mike did the witch...this was mike's first time using a stencil to carve one of our pumpkins...acutally, this was mike's first time EVER carving one of our pumpkins!!!!!

hahaha...not bad eh?

this past weekend we FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY

had miss courtney's little sleepover WAAAYYYY belated birthday party with a few of her friends!

she complained that since we were in scotland on her birthday that she never got to have a party.....

poor thing. ( do i sound sarcastic? teehee )

so, after going through our family's hectic schedule, this was the weekend to finally

have it for her!

we went glo bowling ( so much fun ) and then went back to our house and made homemade pizza's..each of the girls had to create their own, and then it was p.j's and movies and munchies time!!

i feel pretty sure that they all had a blast...even though i had to shut them down at 2:30am...

bunch of giggly, silly girls!!!

( so, happy belated 10th birthday party miss courtney! )

( we missed you lots Rachel, Kelsey and Taylor...)

...we even had Maggie for the sleepover while rachel was out of town with her family!

I have decided NOT to continue monthly scrapbook kits as my suppliers have continuously failed me in getting in the products that I order in time for the monthly kits. i feel that this more than often delay in my supplies cause me WAY too much stress and the only way to resolve this weight off my shoulders is to discontinue the monthly kit program.

i know it's been a while since i've last posted, but there really hasn't been much going on around here!!

courtney had her first fall competition this past saturday and placed 2nd in her sword dance and danced very well!!

( here's all of lynn's premier dancers after the last dance of the day...sailor's hornpipe...courtney is 2nd from the left )

...and i am getting a bad head cold...

i could feel it starting last night in my head and sore throat, and this morning i felt like i got hit by a mack truck! oh well, 'tis the season of flu bugs and colds!! hopefully it won't get out of hand like some of these 2 month long bugs going around.....

and that's about it.

today's my birthday and i have SOOO MUCH energy, it's scary!

so, i even took time to do a challenge, conveniently on my birthday, of some self portraits to

scrapbook how i feel today!!!
